Every track ships with a real clinical use case, a partner mentor in the room throughout, and prizes on the line.

Track 1

Clinical Documentation

Every patient contact has to be documented, yet clinicians rarely have the time to do it properly. What gets written down is often incomplete, delayed, or written at the expense of time with patients. Build tools that make medical documentation faster, better, and less of a burden.

Health Data Interoperability

Patient data is spread across systems that were never designed to work together, so critical information gets lost, duplicated, or re-entered by hand. Build solutions around standards like HL7 and FHIR that help data move between them.

European Health Data Space (EHDS)

The EHDS is Europe's new framework for health data, and it will change how clinics, researchers, and patients access and share it. Build solutions that bring it into practice.

Before you come along.

Do I need a clinical or technical background?

No specific background is required. Solo clinicians and solo engineers are both welcome. Teams are curated for a clinical/technical mix, so come ready to pair up fast if you apply alone.

Can I apply solo or do I need a team?

Both work. Apply solo and we'll help match you into a balanced team, or apply as a formed team of 2–4.

Can I still get in?

No. All application batches are closed and the application phase has ended. We were overwhelmed by the number of applications and could not take everyone.

What can I win?

Winning teams take home prizes backed by our partner companies, with the split across the tracks still taking shape.

Do I have to be an AIM member to apply?

No. The hackathon is open to students, clinicians, and engineers from any background. AIM membership is optional and free to join separately.

How can my company get involved?
